Plank Restobar, being one of the most famous and best restaurants in Oakville, is known for its great delicacies, comfort food, scenic views of the lake, and its rustic decors. Its name, Plank, is apparently taken from the reclaimed wood that would be seen throughout the place. Inspired by the well-known restaurant in Chicago, Longman & Eagle, Plank Restobar features 100-year-old floors, wooden signages, oak wine barrels, rugged wood accents, and even the original doors of the CNE horse pavilion.
This restaurant is owned by the following members of the Catch Hospitality Group – Doug Greco, Robert Lush and David Bowker. They also own other restaurants in Oakville – Tavolo, The Firehall, West End Social, Cucci Ristorante, and the soon-to-be opened Por Vida Mezcal and Mexican.

Plank Restobar is located at 67 Bronte Road, Oakville, Ontario. Many visitors recommend the place for its scenic views of the lake that is perfect for post-meal stroll too. They open for brunch daily at 11am and closes late at night at 11pm or 12am. Hours may change especially during special occasions and holidays. Ambiance
The cozy and chic atmosphere is loved by many guests. Definitely an instagrammable place that looks classic and sophisticated, yet has a modern twist. The Plank Restobar offers a wide range of moderately-priced food and beverage choices. Chef Eduardo Juarez manages the menu and update it regularly with food whose ingredients are in season and are readily available in town. He makes sure that the ingredients used are locally-grown and fresh to maintain great food quality. Even the beverages served in the Plank features local breweries and Ontario wines.
Their best-sellers include house sliders with bacon jam and vintage cheddar and Cauliflower Fritters, the Dumb Son steamed pork and shrimp dumplings with Sriracha and soy, pecorino cheese, and garlic aioli. They also serve salads, pizza, and a whole lot more. For beverages, you can choose from their wide range of wines – sparkling, full-bodied, red and white wines.

There are so many good reviews about this place. In various sites, you will see that they have 4-star ratings or above. Everyone loves the food and beverage selection in the Plank. Many keep coming back for both the food and casual atmosphere of the restaurant. Though there were a few disapproving feedback regarding the service, the management has been working on it to keep the customers satisfied.

The Plank also invites its regulars to spend occasions with them by having special promos and events. Some of it includes National Caesar Day when classic Caesars are offered for just $6 all day, Owl Wednesday Nights for women, Karaoke Night Thursdays, and “Giving Back is Priceless” lunch where sales would all be donated to charity.
